1940 Greyhound, Silversides, Yellowcoach, PDG3701153, #153, 37 passenger bus as displayed in the 1939-1940 N.Y. World's Fair. One of a kind bus...I have not been able to find another one anywhere. It has a 671 Detroit Diesel and is converted to a motor home in dark mahogany wood in a Nautical Motif, with all accessories, with a 4-speed gearbox on the column and roll up windows. Engine runs clean. The undercarriage is solid. This bus is 33 feet long because in most places that was the legal limit at that time. The later versions in 1941 and post war in 1947 were 35 feet. It's a real classic and a rare find, a Gem of the Golden Era, one of the few - if not the only one remaining. Buses Available for Showing by Appointment Only |
